Reza Salazar x Law and Order x Clowning in South America x Releasing Shame from Being Raped

Reza Salazar starred in “Law and Order” (NBC) twice before the age of 21. He was also raped as a young boy and took more than 20 years to talk about it. Now he does.

An inspiring moment for anyone who carries shame from their childhood and how Reza dealt with his.

In this incredibly heart-warming interview with my very best friend of more than a decade, Reza talks growing up in South America, where he performed as a clown alongside his mom from age 5 until his teen years.

By 13, he came to North Carolina as a trained clown, spoke no English but was just in time for high school.

By 19, he had guest starring roles in “Law and Order” and currently he stars in and writes plays in New York City, guest stars on television shows and does film work, too.

“As it relates to being raped, don’t try to forget,” Reza says. “Forgive. That’s been my job the last 29 years.”
